What is locomotive syndrome?
Locomotive syndrome (locomotor syndrome) is a condition in which the body's mobility functions such as "standing" and "walking" are impaired.
For example, do you have symptoms such as "back pain," "knee pain," or "difficulty walking up the stairs at the station"? Regardless of your age, you may already have locomotive syndrome.
Locomotive syndrome tends to progress without you noticing, so in order to avoid becoming bedridden or requiring care, it is important to take measures to prevent locomotive syndrome as early as possible.
For preventing locomotive syndrome
Bone and muscle mass begin to decrease from the age of 40. "Exercise" is very important for preventing locomo.
Specifically, the following two points are the main pillars.
- ① "Improving your sense of balance in your legs and hips"
- ② "Strength training"
These two points are explained in detail in the Shiseido Health Insurance original video "Loco Training" introduced later.
In addition, "daily meals" are closely related to maintaining bones and muscles.
